Woman critical after hit by car

A pedestrian, identified by witnesses as a woman, was hit by a vehicle at the intersection of M-20 and Nottawa Road around 9 p.m. January 8th. She was last reported in critical condition.
The Michigan State Police handled the crash but haven’t released much information about the crash. The woman’s name and where she is from was not released, nor was details on how the incident happened. MSP Spokeswoman Michelle Robinson said, “This is still an active investigation with very little information that can be released at this time.” She said she would release additional information as soon as possible.
Reportedly, traffic was rerouted around the area for about three hours while the scene was under investigation.
MSP Troopers were assisted at the scene by Mt. Pleasant Police, Mt. Pleasant fire and rescue personnel and ambulance personnel.
