The Division 2 cross country regional hosted by Bangor on Saturday, Oct. 29, was twice as nice for Otsego coach Steve Long.
That’s because both of Long’s teams claimed regional championships.
The Otsego boys scored 28 points, placing them 91 points ahead of runner-up St. Joseph. The Otsego girls, meanwhile, finished with 29 points and stayed unbeaten for the season at 185-0.
A total of 11 Bulldog runners—six boys and five girls—earned All-Regional honors by placing in the top 15. Colin Wesseldyk and Emma Hoffman led the charge for Otsego, with each earning individual regional championships.
