FABIUS TWP. — A 24-year-old man from Vicksburg was killed in a single-vehicle crash that occurred in Fabius Township Saturday, July 8.
According to the St. Joseph County Sheriff’s Department, the incident occurred at 11:58 p.m. on Corey Lake Road just east of Knevels Court. The driver, identified as Triston Bradshaw, was reportedly traveling eastbound on Corey Lake Road when police claim his vehicle lost control and veered off the roadway, striking a tree on the driver’s side and caused the vehicle to roll. Bradshaw was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police claim alcohol and speed appeared to be contributing factors to the crash, which is still under investigation.
Assisting deputies were the Three Rivers Fire Department, Fabius Township Fire Department, Michigan State Police, Constantine Police Department and Brokers Towing.
