Three injured when vehicles collide head-on

Allegan Central Dispatch received reports of a two car injury accident at the intersection of 56th St and 116th Ave Fennville, MI Clyde Township last week.
Upon arrival deputies determined a south bound vehicle had struck a north bound vehicle head on. Preliminary investigation shows the at fault driver had fallen asleep and had drifted into the oncoming traffic lane.
Deputies said the at fault driver and infant passenger were transported to Helen Devos; with the infant passenger suffering serious injuries. The second vehicle driver was taken to Holland Hospital with serious injuries. 56th St from 117th Ave to 116th Ave remained closed along with the intersection of 56th/116th for the crash investigation.
The Allegan County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by Michigan State Police, LIFE EMS, Clyde Township Fire Dept, and Allegan Central Dispatch.
