On March 4, at approximately 12:47 a.m., deputies were on traffic patrol and observed a vehicle with an equipment violation near the intersection of Mackinaw Trail and 13 Mile Road in LeRoy Township. While attempting to stop the vehicle for the violation, the driver sped away and attempted to flee and elude deputies.
“After a short pursuit, the suspect pulled into a residence near the intersection of 14 Mile and 220th Avenue and fled on foot,” deputies stated in a report. “The suspect ran into a house ignoring verbal commands of the deputies and refused to come out. Both occupants continued to refuse to cooperate and the 42-year-old son, who was later identified as the boyfriend of the 33-year-old female, made threats to assault law enforcement on scene.”
