Summer weekends are abound with events across Allegan County. There is no need to drive across the county to Holland, Saugatuck or South Haven.
Beginning Friday, June 16, 2023, Allegan was rocking. Rollin’ on the River brought Prior Noon to the Riverfront Stage. While the crowd enjoyed the music of talented artists, a peek around Tantrick Down Under would have found merriment as people celebrated Ton Hunter’s retirement.
The weekend entertainment was just beginning. On Saturday, June 17th at the Allegan County Fairgrounds, Western Days – Bulls and Barrels was moving into full swing. While Christian Western music filled the air, riders attempted to stay astride bucking bulls for 8 seconds. Most times the bulls won. The barrel racers were far more successful. The grandstand was full and all enjoyed.
On Saturday evening across town on the Riverfront Stage, the Michigan Mafia String Band entertained the crowd with a variety of music genre. The concert was a thank you from Village Market to the people of the Allegan area that support the store.
The weekend held more surprises for fathers, but also included the Beer and BBQ concert with Nathan Douglas at Allegan Event.
Beginning Friday, June 23, 2023, event goers will again be able to pull out their calendars and participate in the Allegan Riverfront Rollin’ on the River with Some People’s Kids take the stage, then step back in time with The Never Ending Story at the Regent Theater.
