Revelers ring in New Year on the riverfront

On New Year’s Eve in Allegan, no matter where a reveler stood along the Riverfront, the midnight drop of the 10’6” NYE Ball decorated with 30,000 synchronized LED lights was clearly visible. Crowds began gathering by 8pm and grew until the final countdown to the bewitching hour. Some visitors rented the headphones so they could dance to the Silent Disco while others just enjoyed food and drink as they visited near the warming pit or Tiki torches until the clock struck Midnight. Thanks to RCI Adventure Products who constructed the largest NYE ball in Michigan, the City of Allegan and the sponsoring businesses, Abonmarche Consultants, Andy’s Ace Hardware, Bartz/Rumery Agency Inc, Tantrick Brewing Company and Food Motivated for organizing this celebration.
