Plainwell robotics teams compete at finals

GRANDVILLE—The Grandville Competition Center near Grandville Middle School was the site for the Michigan Middle School VEX Robotics State Championship on Saturday, Feb. 17.
And four of the 48 teams invited to participate hailed from Plainwell Middle School and are part of the Plainwell Robotics Club.
The teams from Plainwell included The Wrecking Crew, Trial and Error, HOW ‘BOUT NO and Engineering Unicorns.
A total of 11 Plainwell Middle School students comprised those four teams.
“(Being invited to participate in the State Championship) is a significant accomplishment for these 11 students,” Plainwell Robotics Club communications coordinator Lisa Cook said. “And seven of those students competed in VEX robotics for the first time this season.”
Plainwell students who participated were Bryce Stoeffler, Mia Williams, Tavi Rosati, Caleb Williams, Mason Potts, Hunter Crouch, Malachi Waters, Mason Anderson, Ava Anderson, Anne Wilkinson, and Lucas Pauly.
The Plainwell teams were coached by Julie Williams, Summer Rosati, Charles Crouch, Marcus Anderson, T.J. Wilkinson and Joseph Potts.
