The City of Plainwell’s restoration project involving Jersey Street is underway.
The project began Monday, June 19, and is slated to be completed by Friday, June 30. That timetable is weather-dependent.
Intermittent road closures should be expected during the duration of the project, which is scheduled to be completed in multiple phases.
Those phases are as follows:
- Milling the asphalt (removal of the asphalt) from Bridge St. to Starr Rd. Following milling, the road will be graded.
- Base coat will be applied from Bridge Street to Hill Street.
- Topcoat will be applied from Bridge Street to Hill Street.
- Base coat will be applied from Hill Street to Starr Road.
- Topcoat will be applied from Hill Street to Starr Road.
“We would like to thank you for your patience and understanding while we complete this project,” City officials said in a social-media post.
Those with any questions about the project are invited to contact the Plainwell Department of Public Works at (269) 685-9363.
