MARION – The Osceola County Board of Commissioners, at its meeting this week, approve the Jail Inmate
Healthcare BCBS Quote as presented with a one-year contract.
“We anticipate possibly up to 25 percent savings,” commissioner Tim Michell of Marion said.
Commissioners accepted the County 2022 Audit as presented by Ken Talsma of Anderson, Tackman & Company.
“We got a top rating on our audit and are pretty happy with that,” Michell said.
The commissioners approved the Electrical Inspection Services Contract with Brian Kanouse as presented by the Building Official Aaron Holsworth.
Commissioners voted to allow the Equalization department to provide access to GIS to the school districts in Osceola County. “We want to share it to anyone who can provide a better service to anyone in the county,” Michell said.
Commissioners voted to approve the VC3 Co-Managed Service Contract as presented by Technology Coordinator Jon-Thomas Burgess.
Commissioners voted in favor in releasing the 2017 Ford Explorer to Enterprise to be sold at an auction and authorized the Clerk to release the title. But in the final meeting, commissioners voted no on it to re-evaluate the worth to the county.
The board voted to appoint Tim Ladd and Kati Mora to the Osceola County Land Bank.
