MARION – The Osceola County Board of Commissioners acted at its county commissioners meeting on Tuesday to put various issues on the August 2022 election ballot.
The board approved placing MSU extension on the August 2022 ballot to levy up to 0.25 mills.
The board voted to approve placing the Road Patrol millage renewal on the August 2022 ballot to levy up to 1.0 mills.
“We’re still going to be working on the legal ballot language of it,” board chairman Mark Gregory said. “Once that gets done we’ll be able to have more input in it.”
The recommendation also includes placing an additional (NEW millage language) on the ballot to levy up to 1.0 mills for school resource officers and operations.
It was also voted to not place the Veterans Services on the ballot.
The board also voted to place the Headlee Roll Back on the General Election ballot in November.
The board also voted to approve the courts request for email domain change and to allow the IT department to assist with the change.
The board voted to approve selling the Bibles from 602 Upton property for $1.
