Clinton Township, Michigan – Wayne C. Branch of Clinton Twp., Michigan, passed away Saturday, February 19, 2022.
Wayne was born August 13, 1945, in Plainwell, Michigan, to Wilbur and Maxine Branch.
After graduating from Otsego High School, he received his bachelor’s degree from Central Michigan University. He went on to get his master’s degree from Wayne State University.
Wayne spent his entire career teaching in the Utica Community Schools. He taught mathematics at both middle and high school levels.
Much of his free time was spent searching out estate sales and antique stores. He amassed a large collection of antique picture frames and was an avid collector of Victorian and Asian antiques.
Wayne is survived by son Ryan Branch and his wife Julie and their son Keiran, son Mark Walker and his husband Brandon Green, Wayne’s partner, Richard Deruiter and ex-wife and friend Kathy Branch, sister Doris Hopkins and her husband Theron, brother Gerald Branch and his wife Carolyn Branch and many nieces and nephews.
A cremation has taken place and a small gathering of family and friends is planned for a future date.
