Wanda Mae Terrill, age 83 of Clare passed away Tuesday, October 17, 2023 at Medilodge of Clare. Wanda was born the daughter of the late George and Bessie (Clark) Elmer on September 19, 1940 in Mesa, AZ. She was united in marriage to David E. Terrill on January 15, 1959 in Tucson, AZ. Wanda and David had moved to Clare in 1970; she had worked as an LPN with Listening Ear for 18 years. She was a faithful member of Our Lady of Hope Parish in Clare. Wanda loved crafting, yard sales and a good bargain. She enjoyed performing puppet shows at the school and was a fantastic ribbon winning cake decorator.
Those left to mourn her loss include her husband of 64 years, David Sr.; her children David E. Terrill, Jr. of Cape Cod, MA; Deborah (Joseph) Schmidt of Wichita, KS and Katherine (Charles) Bigford of Remus; grandchildren Jason (Liz) Schmidt, Jennifer (Eric Siegmund) Schmidt, Daniel (Betsy) Schmidt, Matthew (Marissa Maurer) Schmidt and Aaron (Fiancée Khaleigha Scott) Schmidt; great grandchildren Eleanor Schmidt, Harrison Schmidt, Samuel David Schmidt, Henry Schmidt and Fredrick Schmidt. Wanda was predeceased by her daughter Donna Terrill and several brothers and sisters.
A Memorial Mass will be held at the Our Lady of Hope Parish on Friday, November 3, 2023. Visitation will be from 10 A.M. until the time of service at 11 A.M. with Monsignor Francis Koper officiating; burial will follow in the St. Cecilia Catholic Cemetery.
