Ronald “Nick” L. Cary, age 93 of Otsego passed away Saturday, February 18, 2023 at Wings Home. He was born on May 27, 1929 in Plainwell, the son of Harry and Jennie (Barton) Cary. Ronald worked for Consumers Power Company for over 30 years, and relished the idea that he was retired for longer than he was employed. He enjoyed golfing, hunting and fishing, and was a lifetime member of the Otsego Elks. He married Lee (Brenner) on July 27, 2014 in Otsego. Ronald is survived by his children, Judy Moore, June Haddix, and Jim (Tina), and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. Also surviving is his step-daughter Sandra (Shane) Allen. He was preceded in death by his first wife Rachel in 2012 and brothers, Paul ‘Pete’ and Harry “Bud” and sister, Maxine Branch. A celebration of life visitation will be held at the Otsego VFW Post #3030 on Tuesday, February 28, 2023 from 3-6 P.M. According to his wishes, cremation has taken place and his ashes will be interred at Mountain Home Cemetery. Contributions in memory of Nick may be made to Wings Home.
