Rilla L. Seibt, age 87 of Farwell, passed away Thursday, March 30, 2023 at Pioneer Golden Estate in Clare. Rilla was born the daughter of the late Emma Turner on April 27, 1935 in Gladwin. She was united in marriage to Duane Seibt on December 24, 1951 in Clare with him predeceasing her on December 8, 1991. Rilla was a lifelong resident of the Central Michigan Area; she had worked in the Laundry Department at the Clare Nursing Home for 25 years. She was an active member of the Clare United Methodist Church and had helped with Funeral Dinners for many years. Rilla loved animals, both wild and domestic; she enjoyed tending her gardens, taking adventures with friends and people watching.
Survivors include her children Mark (Betty) Seibt, Shannon Seibt and Lori (David) Elliott; her daughter-in-law Pat Seibt; siblings Shirley Miller, Lorraine Shane and Lewis (Maryanne) Dull; as well as 12 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Rilla was predeceased by her son Gregory and daughter Shelley Ackerman.
Visitation will take place on Sunday, April 2, 2023 at the Clare Chapel of Stephenson-Wyman Funeral Home from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M. Visitation will be held on Monday, April 3, 2023 at the Clare United Methodist Church from 10 A.M. until the time of service at 11 A.M. with Pastor Lane Van officiating.
