Nancy Mohney

Nancy Alice (Nesbitt) Mohney passed away unexpectedly on August 1, 2023. Nancy was born in Dowagiac on March 4, 1954 to Floyd and Garnet Nesbitt. She graduated from Lawton High School in 1972. After graduation, Nancy went right to work for the Duo-Tang/Centis Company. She worked there over 31 years until its closure. On October 16, 1976 she married the love of her life, Eugene. She later welcomed a son, Jason, and a daughter, Laura. Nancy was a loving, but stubborn person. She enjoyed quilting and cooking for the family. Later, she enjoyed puzzles and bird watching. She was especially fond of hummingbirds. She will be deeply missed by her friends and family. She is survived by her husband, Eugene; children: Jason (Wendy) Mohney and Laura Mohney; and granddaughter, Tinsley Mohney. Also surviving are several brothers, sisters, nieces, and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Gordon; and granddaughter, Mackenzie. A private funeral will be held followed by interment at Chamberlin Cemetery in Porter Township. Memorial contributions may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation or SPCA of Southwest Michigan.
