Lewis Geib, age 38, loving husband, father, son and brother passed away unexpectedly of natural causes on April 19, 2023 in Beijing China. He was preceded in death by his father, George Geib. Lewis is survived by his mother Ruth Hansen (Joe Motto); wife of 8 years, Fiona Geib; child Lucy Geib; siblings Brian (Brenda) Geib, Michelle (Rick) Hazen, Tyson (Nikki) Geib, Regis (Jayia) Geib; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and friends.
Lewis was born in Allegan, Michigan and graduated from Hopkins High School in 2003. He earned his degree from Western Michigan University in Criminal Justice. His passion for travel and teaching took him to China where he began a teaching career before transitioning into working for the British Consulate. While spending time in China, Lewis met his wife, Fiona. They married in 2015 on Captiva Island in Florida and had their daughter Lucy in 2019.
Lewis was known for his infectious laugh, sense of humor and his kind and compassionate spirit. He loved spending time with his family and friends. His daughter was the light of his life. He was an avid movie and television show watcher and loved discussing new shows with siblings.
A celebration of life will be held at a future date.
