Kevin Lee Eichler, 67 of Allegan, Michigan, passed away Friday, June 17, 2022 at his home. Born August 31, 1954 in Kalamazoo, Michigan, he was the son of the late Lyle and Geraldine (Germaine) Eichler and the long-time fiancé of Heidi Stawiszynski-Clarke. Kevin attended Allegan High School and was a member of the Class of 1973. He was the friend everyone wanted to have and his generous spirit and willingness to go above and beyond for others made him truly loved. People gravitated to Kevin due to his jovial personality and big heart. He was known for being quite the poker player (Texas Hold’em in particular) and enjoyed hunting, fishing, kayaking, camping, and ice fishing. Memorable for all the adventurous locations he loved to go to, he always mystified his travel companions because he never seemed to get lost, even though he only took backroads (sometimes even more like two-tracks!). Getting to their destination was most of the fun! Kevin and Heidi had a blended family and Kevin felt it was like having a “bonus” family – he thoroughly loved them and accepted them as his own. He was especially close to his grandson, Jacob Henry, with whom he shared a special bond. His way of welcoming people and making them feel loved is already truly missed. There are so many cherished memories to hold close and treasure.
Cherishing those memories are his fiancée of fourteen years, Heidi Stawiszynski-Clarke; daughter, Raechel Eichler; bonus daughters, Lindsey Stawiszynski and Laurin Reynolds; bonus son, Stone Clarke; siblings, Kim Eichler and Tim (Carla) Eichler; grandchildren, Jacob Henry Clarke, Atlas Clarke, Riley Fulmerhouser, Remmie Nieukoop, and Raiden Nieukoop; special nephew, Justin Bunch; and great-nephew, Jaxton Bunch.
Along with his parents, Kevin was preceded in death by his brother in heart, Chuck Rewalt.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, July 9, 2022 from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Allegan Eagles, 110 Chestnut Street, Allegan, Michigan 49010. Memorial donations may be made in Kevin’s name to the Allegan Eagles.
