John Adriance passed away Sunday, December 3rd, 2023 at Rose Arbor Hospice, Kalamazoo. John was born March 6, 1937 in Kalamazoo, son of the late
John and Lillian Adriance. John was a lifelong member of Covey Hill Baptist Church as well as serving as a board member
for RBM Ministries. He also served as Choir Director and Sunday School teacher for many years at Covey Hill. John lived on the family farm in Paw Paw his whole life and was a very skilled handyman.
Over the years, 40+ children have passed through their home as foster kids. John was a people focused individual and was always willing to help anyone in need.
John is survived by his loving wife, Dena of 66 years; 3 children, Lynna (Randy) Dylhoff, Tom (Beth) Adriance, Tim (Terri) Adriance; 11 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandson; brother-in-law Dale Powers; sister-in-law Alma Powers; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a daughter and son-in-law, Melodi (Paul) Acree; sister and brother-in-law, Nancy (Gerry) Meyers; his parents and sister-in-law Mary Powers.
The family will meet friends on Thursday, December 7th from 11am until time of funeral services at 1pm, at Covey Hill Baptist Church, Pastor Dan Wilson officiating. Interment will follow in Robinson Cemetery.
