Jody Lynn Peters, 60, of Allegan, MI passed away Tuesday, February 13, 2024 at her home. Born December 24, 1963 in Allegan, she was the daughter of the late Walter D. and Normadien W. (May) Grauman and was the wife of Gregory Peters. Jody had been a longtime member of the Allegan Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 2315 and the Otsego Moose Lodge 375/Women of the Moose 672. She also frequented Sherwood’s Cove in Allegan where she made many friends over the years. Jody enjoyed trying her luck at pull-tabs and was always up for a round or two of Yahtzee with friends. She despised the cold and loved to spend time poolside catching some sun. Jody also liked to relax and unwind by going for rides and enjoying the countryside and wildlife, especially the deer. Jumping on the mower and giving the lawn a trim was also one of her favorite things to do. Jody will be remembered for her huge heart and her love for helping everyone that she could. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends alike.
In addition to Gregory, her husband of twenty-nine years, Jody is survived by her son, Caleb Peters; her siblings, Colleen (Ronnie) Pack, Tod (Janice) Grauman and Rodney (Candy) Grauman; and many nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Allegan Eagles, 110 Chestnut Street, Allegan, MI 49010 on Sunday, March 3, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel, is assisting the family with arrangements.
