Jay B. Davis, age 84, passed away peacefully on October 11, 2022 at his home in Farwell, MI. Jay was born on July 5, 1938 in Harrison, MI, the son of Byrl L. and Elsie D. (Bailey) Davis. Jay was united in marriage to Carol Ann Jackson on July 5, 1959.
Mr. Davis was a general laborer most of his life. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, fishing, hunting, and working on small engines. He spent several summers running the fruit and vegetable stand next to his home. He was regularly seen with a cigar in his mouth and sometimes he would even light it.
Jay is survived by his children Brian Davis, David (Kimberly) Davis, Deanne (Dan) Durling, James (Linda) Davis, Marc (Debbie) Davis, Michael Davis, his siblings Peggy Hardy, Faye Mansfield, and Larry Davis, several grandchildren, great grandchildren, cousins, nieces, nephews, brothers and sisters-in-law.
Jay is predeceased by his wife Carol, son Dean, his parents Byrl and Elsie Davis, his siblings Lois (Darlene) Jerred, Ramona (Jean) LaVoye, Sandra Maddison, Keith Davis, Terry Davis, his mother and father-in-law Thelma and John Jackson, and several brothers and sisters-in law.
As per his wishes, a cremation has taken place. There are no services scheduled at this time. A memorial gathering may be scheduled for a future date.
