Helen “Connie” Kirk, age 94 of Clare, passed away Saturday. March 11, 2023 at Medilodge of Clare. Helen was born the daughter of the late Stephen and Catherine (Lucas) Fiffick on November 10, 1928 in Chestnut Ridge, PA. She was united in marriage to Charles P. Kirk on August 19, 1961 in Detroit, with him predeceasing her on August 13, 2013. Helen had worked for AT&T for 32 years; she had moved from Warren to Clare 35 years ago. She had been an active member of the Our Lady of Hope Parish; and a supporter of the Clare Country Animal Shelter. The family wishes to thank the staff at Medilodge of Clare for the care and compassion shown to Helen.
Helen is survived by her children Carolyn (Alan) Kirk Rudzewicz of Rochester Hills, Charles Kirk of Warren, Maryanne Kirk of Farwell and Thomas Kirk of Clare. She was a very special aunt and cousin to many. She was predeceased by her sister Millie.
Visitation will take place on Wednesday, March 15, 2023 at the Clare Chapel of Stephenson-Wyman Funeral Home from 2 to 8 P.M. Visitation will also be held at the Our Lady of Hope Parish on Thursday, March 16, 2023 from 9 A.M. until the time of the Funeral Mass at 10 A.M. with Monsignor Francis Koper officiating. The service will be livestreamed on the Stephenson-Wyman Funeral Home’s Facebook page. Burial will take place in the St. Cecilia Catholic Cemetery.
