Glenn L. DeDolph, age 86, of Fenton (formerly of Flint), passed away at his home, surrounded by his family, on Wednesday, May 24, 2023. He was born the son of Frederick and Bernice (Niemeyer) DeDolph, on Jan. 27, 1937, in Flint. After high school, Glenn attended GM Institute for Tool and Die and earned a lifelong career as a Machinist for Fisher Body in Flint. He married Mary Tice on August 20, 1960, and she survives him. Glenn and Mary moved to Fenton from Flint in 2011. He had been a longtime member of the Court Street United Methodist Church in Flint. Glenn loved his cats, enjoyed refinishing furniture, building and flying remote controlled airplanes, and “machining” in his shop at home after retirement.
Glenn is survived by his wife, Mary, his children, Linda DeDolph (Richard Wendling) of Fenton, Gregory (Michelle) DeDolph of Swartz Creek, and Lisa DeDolph of Flint, his grandchildren Sarah and Mitchell DeDolph, a brother, Rick (Myrna) DeDolph of Charlotte, and his brother-in-law, Danny Tice of Clare.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, May 27, 2023, at 11:00 AM at the Clare Chapel of Stephenson-Wyman Funeral Homes with pastor Jeremy Peters officiating. Burial will follow in the Cherry Grove Cemetery in Clare. Friends may meet with his family at the funeral home on Friday from 4 until 8 PM. Memorials may be directed to the Court Street United Methodist Church.
