Glen L. Gunderman passed into the presence of his Savior on Wednesday, June 14, 2023. Glen was born
in Isabella County on October 23, 1929, to Kenneth E. and Naola M. (Archbold) Gunderman. He
graduated from Clare High School in 1947 and worked as a carpenter for Seiter Brothers Lumber
Company until he was inducted into the U.S. Army in February of 1951 where he served as a wireman,
stationed in Alaska during the Korean War. Following his discharge from the military, Glen was hired by
Dow Chemical Company and trained as a lab technician. He met his wife, Arlene, at Dow where she
worked as a secretary. They were married on May 5, 1955. Glen was an active member of First Baptist
Church in Clare, Michigan, serving as Sunday School Superintendent, AWANA Commander, usher and in
any other way he could. He was an exceptional worker; a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend.
Glen was preceded in death by his wife Arlene, his parents Ken and Naola, his brother Roland, his sister
and brother-in-law Vi and Roy Grant, his brother-in-law Wetzel (Nuke) Rodgers, and his son, Dennis. He
will be deeply missed by his sons Jeff (Sue) Gunderman, Glen Arthur Gunderman, and Brian (Laura)
Gunderman and his daughter-in-law Beth Gunderman, and by his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A memorial service for Glen will be held at First Baptist Church of Clare on Tuesday, June 20, 2023, at
11:00 A.M. Interment will follow the service in the Cherry Grove Cemetery. Visitation for Glen will take place at Stephenson Wyman Funeral Home in Clare on Monday, June 19, 2023, from 4:00 – 8:00 P.M. Memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church of Clare.
