Gary L. McPhall, age 69 of Clare passed away Monday, March 13, 2023 at his home. Gary was born the son of Francis “Frank” and Margaret (Ackerman) McPhall on April 5, 1953 in Clare. He proposed to Tina Mogg while stationed with the U.S. Army in Vietnam and shortly thereafter they were united in marriage on September 1, 1972 in Rosebush. Gary had worked as a Pipefitter Welder through Local 85; he had also worked locally at CMF and Valcast. He enjoyed hunting and spending winters in Arizona.
Gary is survived by his wife, Tina; his mother, Margaret McPhall; children Matthew (Stacie Brown) McPhall, Thomas (Krista) McPhall and Garin (Emily) McPhall; grandchildren Michael, Monica, Maisy, Shanna, Jordan, Addison and Baby McPhall on the way; a great grandson Remmington; his siblings, Marlene (Steven) Dysinger, Chuck (Ethel) McPhall and Dennis McPhall as well many nieces and nephews. Gary was predeceased by his father, Frank and his sister Carolyn McPhall.
Visitation and a Celebration of Life will be held at the Clare Chapel of Stephenson-Wyman Funeral Home on Thursday, March 16, 2023. The family will greet visitors beginning at 2 P.M. with services led by Pastor Jereme Bear to be held at 6 P.M.
