Obituary: Franklin Earl England

Franklin Earl England age 81 of Marion passed away at Munson Healthcare-Cadillac Hospital on December 19, 2023. Frank was born on April 12, 1942 in Marion to Frank E. and Mary I. (Obrian) England. He married Grace Booms on June 2, 1962 at St. Stephen’s Catholic Church in Lake City.
Frank had attended the Marion Schools, worked for his dad doing plumbing, well drilling, and doing septic systems. Later he worked in the oil fields and doing construction work for Behrns Construction of Tustin/Cadillac. Later for nearly 40 years he owned and operated Frank England & Sons General Contracting of Marion. He enjoyed collecting antique cars, fishing, hunting, camping in Canada, loved building houses, cabins and just built a camper. He was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church in Marion since 1980. He looked forward to sitting in church on Sunday morning with his great- grand -daughter, Evalee. He absolutely loved his grandchildren and great grandchildren and looked forward to trout camp in the spring.
Frank is survived by his wife of 61 years; Grace England of Marion and six sons; Franklin and Mary, Edward and Deanna, Douglas and Cindy, Donald and Robin, Charles and Sandy, and Jerome and Sandra grandchildren; Erica (Jason), Hilary (Issac), Tate (Megan), Elizabeth (Mitch), Jacob (Katlyn), Caleb (Mary), Lucas, Alivia, Sara, and Emily, step grandchildren; Brianna, Dillion, and Katlynn, great grandchildren; RaeLynn, Summer, Colt, Evalee, Payton, Ryah, Ellasyn, Walt, and Curtis. He is also survived by his siblings; Margaret Collins, Orlan (Linda) England, Molly Green, and Gloria (Jim) Royer.
He was preceded in death by; his parents, in-laws, infant brother, brother; James England, and a sister; Audrey Herber.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, December 22, 2023 at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Marion with Father Loc Q. Trinh officiating. Visitation will be on Friday at the church from 12:00 noon to 1:00 P.M. followed by burial in Park Lake Cemetery. Contributions may be made to the family or the St. Agnes Parish.
