Duncan Erric Newcomb, 59, of Bangor, passed away peacefully, Monday, Jan. 1, 2024, at home. He was born Jan. 27, 1964, in Kalamazoo, the son of Lloyd Newcomb and Velma (Spangler) Newcomb.
Duncan loved to watch and play sports; his favorite teams were the Detroit Lions and Tigers. He especially enjoyed watching his grandchildren play sports. Duncan worked at the Paw Paw Pizza Hut for 25 years and made many friends who he considered family. You could often find Duncan listening to rock ‘n roll music.
He is survived by his two daughters, Shannon Newcomb and Jamie Sirrine; son, Duncan (Jessica) Newcomb, Jr.; step-daughters, Jennifer (Mike) Zordan and Tonja (Rob Terveen) Rigoni; step-sons, Dan (Erin) and Tony (Joyce Johnson) Rigoni; grandchildren, Kyle Rigoni, Alexandra Newcomb, Samantha Zordan, Joshua Zordan, Felicity Crall, Kabe Alleman, Gage Alleman, Aryanna Crall, Jason Crall, Jr., McKena Terveen, Jack Terveen, Jerzie Newcomb, Chloe Sirrine, Emilee Newcomb, Ryann Brewster, Brae Newcomb, Mahkayla Sirrine, Cindy Newcomb, Levi Newcomb, Jr., Indie Holliday and Jmya Holliday; five great-grandchildren; three sisters, Maryetta Crouch, Starlena Claggett and Annamae Tuck; and one brother, Edward Newcomb.
Duncan was preceded in death by parents; his wife, Shirley, in 2012; son, Levi Newcomb; grandchildren, Zachary Zordan and Danny Rigoni and brothers, Donald and Nolan Newcomb.
Per Duncan’s wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no public services at this time. A celebration of life will be held in the spring.
