Obituary: Doug Wachowiak

Doug Wachowiak, age 66 of Farwell, passed away Tuesday, November 29, 2022 at his home in the loving arms of his wife after a long illness. Doug loved his family and enjoyed all the time he spent with them. He particularly loved surprises for his children with many spur of the moment adventures. He adored his grandson and anxiously awaited anytime he could spend with him. When his health permitted he enjoyed being able to help out his siblings with any project they had. Doug had a great skill with custom woodworking that were given as gifts to his many loved ones. Besides his love of his family he loved riding his Harley, and he and his wife took many long road trips with wonderful stories from each of them.
Doug is survived by his wife Sue (Musser), daughter Melanie (Jon) Pino and son Joshua and his Fiancé Maddison Chase, and grandson Carlo Pino. He is also survived by his siblings Judy Wachowiak (Wayne), Debora “Debbie” (Gary) Klunzinger, Patricia “Patti” (John) Mishler, and Ronald “Ronnie” (Betty) Wachowiak; brothers-in-law Mike (Rose) Musser, Mark (Denise) Musser, Brad (Deb) Musser and Tim (Kathy) Musser, a sister-in-law Kay Musser and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ronald and Myrtle, his step-father, Dell Esterline, in-laws, John and Rose and his brother-in-law, Brian.
In keeping with Doug’s wishes cremation has taken place with a Celebration of Life to be held on Saturday, January 21, 2023, at 11:30 AM, at the Clare United Methodist Church followed by a luncheon. Donations may be made to the Clare County Pardee Foundation or the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation. Arrangements were handled by the Stephenson-Wyman Funeral Home.
