Dorothy ‘Dottie’ Jean Leech, 72, died January 27th, 2024, at the Medilodge of Westwood in Kalamazoo, MI. Dottie was the middle child of James and Peggy Leech of Allegan, MI.
Dottie grew up on her parent’s farm (Blueberry Pine Farm) in Cheshire township. She attended Allegan Public Schools’ Special Education Program, as well as participating in the Precious Acres Workshop. Dottie obtained her driver’s license and lived independently. She loved horses and spent many hours riding with her sister, Sally. She worked for Milbocker and Son as a custodian, as well as a carry-out person at Harding’s Market in Otsego.
She is survived by her sisters Debb Leech and Sally Leech-Lemley (Jeff Lemley) and their children Mallory Harper and her son Blake, and Elliot and Jessica Lemley and their son Curtis. Dottie shared a special relationship with her good friend Roger Hatten and his family.
Dottie death has been handled by Gorden Funeral Residence in Allegan, with a celebration of life to be held at a later date.
