Donna Lynn Easlick, 74, of Camp Hill, AL passed away after a valiant battle with cancer. She was at home, surrounded by family, as was her wish. Donna was born in New Jersey and lived in many places, but Alabama was her home. She loved her community, family, and church family. Donna had an adventurous career path, including Substitute Teacher, Hospital Registration Clerk, Legal Secretary, and her most favorite, a Court Referral Officer. She was very involved in her church, Mt. Zion Baptist Church of the Denver Community in rural Chambers County. She enjoyed singing in the choir, served in the Women’s Ministry Union, and volunteered her time frequently for many church events.
Donna is preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Betty Gerber of Tabernacle, NJ and her husband Daniel Easlick of Camp Hill, AL. She is survived by her sister, Nancy Freeman (Albert), and brothers, David Gerber (Lana) and Donald Gerber, her daughter, Deena Church (David) and son, Daryl Easlick (Debra). She is survived by 13 grandchildren, David Church Jr. (Rosy), Meghan Masse (Justin), Marissa Angel (Chris), Kyle Easlick, Montana Nall (Amber), Chantel Church (Daniel), Blake Floyd (Kolbi), Christian Howell, Courtney Easlick, Tanner Easlick, Kaitlynne Easlick, Keira Church, Grayson Easlick and 10 great grandchildren, Aurora Church, Harper Church, Ansley Floyd, Nathaniel Angel, Watson Masse, Braxton Bengson, Hunter Church, Juliana Masse, Elliott Angel, and Stetson Floyd. She is also survived by several very special nieces, nephews and extended family.
Visitation will be at Jeff Jones Funeral Home, 152 Alabama Ave. E LaFayette, AL, Sunday, May 28, 2023 and funeral service will be held at the Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 1248 County Road 119, Camp Hill, AL 36850, Monday, May 29, 2023, with graveside at the church cemetery immediately following.
