For those who knew Dean well knew that beyond all else He loved the Lord. His unwavering faith and confidence in Christ ruled his life and made him the man he was. He led his family by following the example set before him by his Savior, and He knew his Savior so well.
Dean is survived by his wife Lindsey, after 47 years of marriage, as well as children Stephanie (Joe) Doody, Sarah Beth (Jeff) Timmer, and Randy (Nicole) Basinger, and five grandchildren. Siblings Linda (Carl) Neff, Steve (Sol) Basinger, and Carol Helsel.
Dean was greatly loved and cherished by his family. He and Lindsey loved taking trips together to Northern Michigan, going for boat rides around the lake, eating at their favorite restaurant, and listening to live music. He also enjoyed any time he could spend with his kids and grandkids, whether it be watching sports, fishing, or playing a game.
He also loved spending time with his friends and his church family. In church he served as a committed elder – faithfully praying for and welcoming his community each week.
