Daren Charles Methner, 63, passed away in his home Saturday, November 12th in Michigan City, IN. Daren was born February 9th, 1959 in Clare, Michigan to Janet Ruth Nemeth and Eugene Charles Methner. Daren loved to play softball on the Methner Ball Team in his younger years and spending time outdoors. He was a master craftsman and highly skilled in his field.
Daren is survived by his parents; children: Brandon (Chrystal) Methner of Harrison, MI and Jeremy Morningstar of Clearwater, FL; siblings: Loren Methner, of Michigan City, IN, Michael (Amelia) Methner of Michigan City, IN, and Pamela (Timothy) Sheredy of Farwell, MI; his four grandchildren: Kylie, Karson, and Kingston Methner, and Norah Morningstar; his brother -in-law, Don Clark of Beal City, MI; his step brother, Gary Nemeth of Missouri; his step sister, Karen Nemeth of Nashville, MI; step mother, Sandy Lyons Bluestone of Fort Collins, CO; as well as countless nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Daren was preceded in death by his stepfather, Garth Nemeth, his sister, Janee Clark, and his brother, Kevin Methner.
Daren will be remembered for his big heart and helping others in need. He greatly enjoyed spending time with family and friends. His life celebrations will be held at the DAV of Michigan City, IN on January 6th, 2023 from 3PM-6PM and at the Moose Lodge of Clare, Michigan on April 15, 2023 from 3PM-6PM. Meals will be provided by the family at both gatherings.
