Conrad Lee Caines, 84, of Wynnewood, passed away on Thursday, November 16, 2023 in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma. Conrad was born on April 7, 1939 in Kalamazoo, Michigan to Francis and Katherine (Weber) Caines. He moved to Oklahoma in 1977. At an early age he found a love for training horses; pleasure, barrels, poles but his main love was halter horses. Conrad won many national and world championships. He judged appaloosa and paint horses for over 40 years. He married the love of his life Ellen Morris, on August 10, 1985, she had a love for race horses that he took on as well. Conrad loved his classmates and looked forward to attending their reunions every year in Michigan. He also loved to deer hunt every year at their camp in Michigan with his two sons and best friend, Ray Burchett. He had friends everywhere he went and loved to talk. Ellen often said he would stop and talk to a fence post to make sure it was still standing. Conrad just had a deep love for people, talking and telling stories and was quite the character to anyone he came in contact with.
Conrad was preceded in death by his parents, Francis and Katherine Caines; sister, Susie Morgan.
Those he leaves to cherish his memories are his wife, Ellen Caines; sons, Randy Caines and wife Kim and Tom Caines; 3 grandchildren, Travis Caines, Andrea Hunderman, Jacob Caines; 2 great grandchildren, Jojo Caines and Ryatt Caines and a host of other family and friends who will deeply miss him.
