Colene “Coke” Moore, age 84, of Clare, passed away on Saturday, April 8, 2023, surrounded by her family, at MyMichigan Health in Midland. She was born the daughter of L.G. and Inez (Probst) Reeves in North Star, Michigan on May 27, 1938. She married Alvin “Al” Moore on March 12, 1960, in Ithaca and he preceded her in death on June 5, 2006. She and Al moved to Clare in 1968 from Shepherd. Colene had worked for Wolverine early in her working years, later was a payroll clerk for Kraft Foods, and finally for Packaging Resources before retirement. She was a member of the Clare United Methodist Church.
Colene is survived by her children; David Moore of Rockford, Scott (Liz) Moore of Clare, Tricia Moore of Clare, her grandsons, Jack, and Mark Moore, and three sisters, Isabelle Sinko, Phyllis (Wayne) Henney, and Judy Brown. She was preceded in death by her husband and her siblings, Wanita Ogden, J.B. Reeves, LaVern Reeves, and Janice Tracy.
A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, Apr. 13, 2023 at 11:00 AM at the Clare United Methodist Church with Pastor Lane Van officiating. Burial will take place on Thursday at 3 PM at the Salt River Cemetery in Shepherd. Friends may meet with her family at the Clare Chapel of Stephenson-Wyman Funeral Home on Wednesday, Apr. 12, from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 PM and at the church on Thursday beginning at 10 AM.
