Clifford Willard Morris, age 94, of Allegan, passed away peacefully on February 15, 2022, with family at his side. He was born July 23, 1927 in Allegan to Clement and Beatrice (Butcher) Morris. Cliff is survived by his wife of 74 years, Mary Lou (Dolan) Morris; his daughter-in-law, Marcia (Tom) Morris; his daughters, Eileen (Jack) Pogodzinski, Margo (Arnie) Adamczyk; his grandchildren Matt (Kellie) Morris, Cullen (Caitlin) Morris, Philip (Cerian) Morris, Jack Jr (Lori) Pogodzinski, Casey (Nenza) Pogodzinski, Mandy (Derek) Meinecke, Ben (Angela) Pogodzinski, Jennifer (Brian) Belka, and Keith (Jamie) Adamczyk. He has 16 great grandchildren, Reagan, Maddie, Lincoln, Spencer, Gwen, Gabby, Abram, Drew, Kate, Jane, Otis, Maybel, Nick, Lauren, Leland and Luka. He enjoyed hearing about their many activities and accomplishments.
He was preceded in death by his two sons, Thomas and Timothy, his parents, his brothers, Clayton and James, and his sister Carrol Heltzel.
Cliff was a Sergeant in the US Army and served in post WWII Germany from 1946-1947.
Cliff farmed in Watson Twp for many years and retired from Rockwell International after 30 years of service. He then went to work for Allegan County Fair Grounds, retiring again after 30+ years.
In his younger years, he and Mary Lou enjoyed square dancing, bowling, and snowmobiling. He also looked forward to elk hunting in the mountains in Colorado for 20+ years. In later years, he made walking sticks for many family members and friends.
Cliff and Mary Lou lived in their home in Watson for 69 years. The past year, Cliff was happy to just sit on his bench and look at the land.
The family will receive friends at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 2036 20th St., Allegan, from 10am to 11am on Friday, February 25, 2022. A funeral mass will be at Sacred Heart at 11am on Friday, February 25th. We also invite you for a luncheon in the church hall following the mass and grave side service.
