Betsy Evans passed away Wednesday, February 9, 2022 at her home surrounded by her family. Betsy was born October 7, 1942 in Dowagiac, daughter of the late Bernard and Louise Frank. Betsy was a long-time member of the Paw Paw Seventh-day Adventist Church. Betsy was a very crafty woman and loved to knit, sew, crochet and quilt. She loved to share her talents with other people and rarely kept any of her own work. Betsy also had a mitten ministry where she made mittens for dialysis patients. More than anything though family was everything to Betsy. She loved her family and cherished every moment they were able to spend together. Surviving are her children, Laurie (Charlie) Putnam, Barbara (David) Coder, Kathy (Ron) Olsen and Bonnie (Dale) Hill; 8 grandchildren, Evan, Christopher (Katie), Mitchell (Rebecca), Brooke (Mike), Joe (Jami), Brandon (Sydney), Johnathan (Courtney) and Kierra; 4 great grandchildren, Casey, Oliver, Cassandra and Milo, with 1 great granddaughter on the way; a brother, Michael (Pam) Frank. She was preceded in death by her husband William, her parents, and a sister, Darla Vorholt. Services were held Monday, February 14, 2022 at the Gobles Chapel, D. L. Miller Funeral Home, www.dlmillerfuneralhome.com, Rev. Paul Phelps officiating. Interment followed in Kendall Cemetery. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to either Centrica Hospice or the West Michigan Cancer Center.
