Arlene Jorgensen passed away Sunday, December 11, 2022 after complications from surgery of a broken hip.
Preceded in death by her parents Gus and Elsie Larson. Survived by her husband Timothy, brother Lavern (Ilene) Larson, 4 children Tracey (Lorie) Jorgensen, Pamela Engeron, Timothy (Paula) Jorgensen Jr., Troy (Phoebe) Jorgensen, 9 Grandchildren Ashlee, Tyler, Alex, Tracey, Trevor, Shane, Ali, Heather, and Cameron, and many nieces and nephews.
Arlene was born April 23, 1948 in South Haven, Ml to Gus and Elsie Larson. She graduated from Allegan High School. She coowned Larson’s Electric hardware with her parents. In 1976 she married Timothy Jorgensen who had 4 children. Also, in 1976, she bought a Honda Goldwing motorcycle which she put many joyous miles on. After retiring from the hardware, and helping raise 4 children, she studied to become a home healthcare nurse, which she did for many years. She had a passion for helping people. She traveled extensively. She had been to most states, including Alaska. She had many friends from various churches that they attended, which she loved staying close with. She took pride in being on the vestry at Epiphany Episcopal church along with being part of “just show up prayer group”. She loved Christmas and buying presents. She loved animals and enjoyed camping.
Visitation will be Monday, December 19, 2022 at the Filbrandt Chapel from 6:00PM to 8:00PM. A Funeral Service will be held December 20, 2022 at Filbrandt Chapel at 11:00AM with Pastor Bernice Thomas officiating.
