Albert E. “Albie” Blommaert, age 74, of Saugatuck, formerly of Chicago Heights, Ill., passed away peacefully Friday, Nov. 10, 2023.
He was the loving dad of Brian Blommaert and Christie (Lance) Krout; loud and cherished grandpa of Mason Blommaert, Meri Reese (Abi) Najieullah, Andrew, Ryan and Alana Krout; dear brother of Cheryl, Jimmy, Ronnie, Cathy, Michael, Patty, David and the late Christine.
He was preceded in death by his parents Albert and Wanda Blommaert Sr.
Albie was the founder and co-owner of Blommaert Bros. Masonry for 32 years. He was loved by all who knew him and will be dearly missed.
Visitation and funeral were Saturday, Nov. 18, at Smits Funeral Home, 2121 Pleasant Springs Lane (Rt.30/Pleasant Springs Ln.), Dyer, Ind.
