Missaukee woman faces meth charges

MCBAIN – A several month-long investigation by the Traverse Narcotics Team into 43-year-old Cindy Jo Frye led to a search warrant at her residence in Pioneer Township of Missaukee County Michigan recently the Missaukee County Sheriff’s Department reported.
Detectives from the Traverse Narcotics Team (TNT) gained information indicating Frye was involved in illegal narcotics activities.
“The investigation resulted in Cindy Jo Frye being arrested for Delivery of Methamphetamine,” deputies said. “Approximately 4 grams of crystal methamphetamines were seized by TNT following the delivery. The delivery led to TNT obtaining a search warrant for Frye’s residence on Feb. 28.
?During the execution of the search warrant approximately 4 grams of crystal methamphetamines, a 44-caliber revolver, a 45-caliber semi-automatic handgun, a shotgun, and a rifle were located within Frye’s home.”
Deputies said Frye was arraigned in the 84th District Court of Missaukee County on March 1 on the following charges:
· Delivery of Methamphetamine
· Possession of Methamphetamine
· Felony Firearm
Frye was given a $100,000 cash or surety bond. Frye she is currently out on bond.
TNT’s case is still under investigation and additional charges and arrests are expected to be sought at a later date.
TNT was assisted by the Michigan State Police (MSP) 7th District Emergency Support Team, MSP Houghton Lake Post Canine team, Missaukee County Sheriff’s Office, and Missaukee County MDOC Probation and Parole.
