Missaukee County man faces charges

MCBAIN – The Michigan State Police has reported a Missaukee County man has been arrested for felony drunk driving and carrying a concealed pistol.
The MSP say troopers at 2:30 a.m. on March 3 stopped a vehicle on 16 RD near 47 RD in Cedar Creek Township. The driver, Shaun William Lewis, of Lake City, showed signs of intoxication.
MSP said when asked if he had any weapons in the vehicle, Lewis said he didl Sobriety guests were administered and Lewis was placed under arrest.
Troopers say they recovered a loaded 45 caliber hand gun from the center console of the truck. Lewis also had a fully loaded magazine in his right front pocket. He did not have a permit to carry a concealed pistol and the handgun was not registered; He was lodged in the Wexford County jail.
MSP said Lewis was arraigned in 84th district court in Wexford County for one count carrying concealed weapon and operating while intoxicated third offense. He was given a $20,000 cash surety bond. His next scheduled appearance is at 2 p.m. on March 19.
