Missaukee clerk releases election results

MCBAIN – The Missaukee County clerk’s office recently release results on the Nov. 7 elections for various offices.
For Lake City office, it was Ardis 154 vote and Seger 142 votes for mayor.
For clerk, it was Johnston 150 votes, and treasurer 21 votes. For council member, it was Smith 180, Ostrander 166 votes, Elliott 128 votes Davis 124, Schrock 74 and N. Johnston 70.
McBain also had elections for city offices. There were none contested. Roberts had 65 for mayor, Smith had 68 for clerk, Heuker 67 for treasurer, and Warren had 63, Kubiak 62 and Heehuis 59 for council. Dykhous had 62 votes for a partial council term ending Nov. 10.
Houghton Lake had operation millage as a proposal and Missaukee County voters living in the district approved it 62-43. Lake City voters turned down a city proposal 157-136.
The percentage number of voters participating in the election in Missaukee were 41 percent for Lake City, 16 percent for McBain and 14 percent for Butterfield Township.
