The McBain girls basketball team was able to pick up a road win in Beal City on Wednesday. The Lady Ramblers held a lead after the first quarter and never looked back, gaining a 64-27 victory.
McBain had a 19-10 lead after the first and 36-16 at the half.
Leading the Ramblers was Analiese Fredin with 15 points, four rebounds and three assists, Kahli Heuker had 12 points, 13 rebounds and three steals, Sydney Heuker had eight points and eight rebounds, Peyton Grant had six points and Caitlin Butzin also had six points and dished out four assists.
On Friday, McBain won a home Highland game over Manton, 56-48.
Manton actually led 23-17 at the half, with McBain swinging ahead 32-31 at the half. The Lady Rangers pulled back ahead 42-39 entering the fourth, but McBain rallied again to come away with the victory.
Leading the way was S. Heuker with 23 points, eight rebounds and two assists, K. Heuker had 15 points and 19 rebounds, Fredin scored 10 points, earned five rebounds and four assists and Butzin had eight points.
McBain (4-1 overall, 2-0 Highland) heads to Reed City on Monday and heads up to Sault Ste. Marie on Thursday.
