MARION – Coach Ryan Raymond had a softball team last season at Marion which won the West Michigan D League title and finished with a 21-3 record, losing in the district finals.

“I believe if we had won that game, the path was laid out to reach the state quarterfinals,” Raymond said. “The good thing about that is we did not lose anyone to graduation and are returning all players from last year.”

This includes seniors Georgia Meyer and Harley Bear, juniors Jaclyn Moggo, Mara Jolly, Maddie Sutton, Delaney Lloyd and Makayla Cruson and sophomores Malley Raymond and Ella Wilson.

“I believe the conference will come down to the same two teams it has the last four years, Marion and Mesick,” Raymond said.
