Marion has strong league race

MARION – Coach Christopher Mayer’s cross country team team ran at the West Michigan D League race at Walkerville on Oct. 4.
The high school boys took sixth place with 134 points. The high school girls and middle school runners did not have a full team.
“WMD No. 3 at Walkerville was a huge success for Marion Cross Country,” Mayer said. “The first race of the day saw two middle school runners at PR times. The high school race ended with three personal records.”
Runner highlights: MS Girls, Ana Latoski 17:40 PR.
MS Boys: Weslee Schlitter 15:13 Tied PR
HS Girls: Bella Radtke 27:30 PR (over a two-minute decrease).
HS Boys: Isiah Peterson 25:13 PR; Parker Sosa-Kibby 30:20 PR (over four minute decrease).
The high school teams will run in the Montabella Invitational on Friday. The West Michigan D race will be on Oct. 18 at Mason County Eastern.
