Marion council members running unopposed

MARION – The Nov. 8 general election ballot for Marion voters will include officers for the village council.
None of the races are contested. Incumbent Flora A. Grundy is running unopposed for another term as resident of the village of Marion.
Three candidates are running for three Marion trustees: Calvin Ellens, Jack Nehmer and Bonnie Tenney.
There is also a seat up election on the Marion Public School Board. Linda Raymond is the only candidate for one seat.
A ballot also includes candidates for statewide offices.
For the 100th state district legislative seat, Democrat Nate Bailey will be running against Republican Tom Kunse.
For county commissioner, incumbent Republicans David G. Turner and Tim Mitchell are running unopposed for Marion area seats
Two Republicans are running for two county road commission seats unopposed: Alan L. Gregorich and Jim Wanstead.
Democrat incumbent governor Gretchen Whitmer is running for another term against challenger Tudor Dixon. For Secretary of State, it’s Democrat Joclyn Benson vs. Republican Kristina Elaine Karamo. For attorney general, it’s Democrat Dana Nessel vs. Republican Matthew DePerno.
There are also seat for Justice of the Supreme Court and for the Court of Appeals.
