MARION – Marion’s competitive cheer season ended on the weekend at regionals.

We did not do as well as we had hoped for this weekend,” coach Danyel Prielipp said. “We finished eighth but are already looking forward to next year.”

Standouts this season included junior Ellie Pearson.

“She is in all three rounds, amazing tumbler, beautiful jumps, sharp motions and skills, great enthusiasm and puts extra work in outside the season,” Prielipp said

Ella Wilson is a sophomore.

“She is in all three rounds, an amazing tumbler; her skills are sharp and snappy, beautiful high jumps, great enthusiasm, great team player and puts extra work in outside the season,” Prielipp said.

Malley Raymond is also a sophomore and is main flyer.

“She had beautiful jumps and sharp skills, especially front/back walkovers and heel stretch, great enthusiasm, excellent team player, loyal and dedicated to the program; hasn’t missed a practice all season and puts extra work in outside the season,” Prielipp said.

Lila Krchmar is a junior back base performer. “She has sharp and snappy motions, is an excellent leader and role model, great enthusiasm, studies the sport and is able to break apart videos to encourage/teach herself and the team to be better and is always encouraging others,” Prielipp said.
