MCBAIN – The Michigan State Police has reported Timothy James Edwards from Madison Heights was arraigned earlier this month in the 84th District Court in Missaukee County on one count of criminal sexual conduct first degree with victim under 13, and one count criminal sexual conduct second degree with victim under 13. He was given a $100,000 bond and was scheduled to have his next court appearance this week.
The state police reported in September 2022 the Michigan State Police at Houghton Lake post received a report from Children’s Protective services of an alleged sexual assault of two children that occurred between 2010 and 2015.
It was reported the incidents occurred in Missaukee County and the children recently realized what happened to them was wrong and reported the incidents to a parent. The victims are now living downstate. The MSP Metro North Post assisted with the investigation and the victims were interviewed at the Oakland County Care Home.
MSP said the investigation led to an arrest warrant being issued against Edwards and he was arrested by the MSP second district fugitive team and lodged in the Oakland County Jail. He was taken to the Missaukee County jail in early April.
