The Lafayette Housing Authority hosted a Free Farmer’s Market event on 12/21/2022. The event is sponsored in partnership with the Auburn Housing Authority and the Food Bank of East Alabama.
With bags and boxes in hand, 86 local families received fresh fruits, vegetables, frozen foods and canned goods.
Special thanks to the volunteers for the event which included members of the Auburn Housing Authority, Lafayette Housing Authority, Boykin Community Food Pantry, LHA Board Commissioners, Barbara Leverette and Elton Holloway, LHA Resident Advisory Board member, Deborah Ray and two local pastors, Wallace Williamson and Jason Messer.
