LAWRENCE – Lawrence’s volleyball team lost Eau Claire on Thursday 21-25, 25-23, 20-25, 25-22, 11-15.
“The game against Eau Claire was a great game to watch,” Lawrence coach Anita Robles said. “Both teams did amazing and kept you on the edge of your seat the whole time. Sadly we did fall short but I am beyond proud of the girls for how great they did. Hailey Camp led with eight kills and right behind her were our setters Leslie Reed and Brooklyn Remelts each with three kills and six assists.
“Iris Chew did an amazing job serving and had 26 serves and four aces. Our back row was very strong being led by Ashley Reed and Zayda Moreno. Everyone did their job amazingly in this game and I can not wait to see how far they will go. I am looking forward to our next game against Howardsville Christian (at 6 p.m. on Oct. 16, at Howardsville).”
Lawrence lost to Cassopolis 7-25, 10-25, 8-25.
“The game against Cassopolis was a tough one,” Robles said. “They were a very great team and we
happened to fall short. No one really stood out to me this game but our team worked hard. It
seemed to be an off game for us but we still did not give up.”
