Lawrence player nets five 3-pointers

LAWRENCE – Lawrence girls basketball team won 36-30 over Hartford on Dec. 15 with junior Brooklyn Remelts scoring 15 points on five 3-pointers.
Sophomore Carolina Mancera had eight points and sophomore Kaylin Leyva six points.
Lawrence won on Dec. 12 54-31 over Comstock.
The Tigers took control early and got out to a 15-3 lead in the first quarter. The Tigers hit six threes as they win the first conference matchup of the season.
Top scorers for Lawrence: Leslie Reed 16 points, Mancera 12 points and Leyva 10 points (3 threes)
On Dec. 14, Lawrence boys lost to Hartford 57-35. Hartford had quarter leads of 15-1, 29-15 and 45-24.
Lawrence was led in scoring by Ben McCaw (23), Zander Payment (5), Noel Saldana (3), Dillon Simpson (2) and Alex Gardner (2).
Lawrence is 1-3 overall and 1-2 in the Southwest 10.
Lawrence lost to Comstock on Dec. 12 by a 60-35 verdict. Comstock had quarter leads of 13-6, and 30-17. The game ended after the third quarter.
Lawrence scoring was by Ben McCaw (15), Noel Saldana (7), Christian Smith (4), Dillon Simpson (4), Zander Payment (2) and Jose Hernandez (1).
